Originally built in 1890 as "Ukiah" in Tiburon, CA to ferry trains across the bay,
the vessel was refitted in 1922 as "Eureka" to serve passengers and automobiles.
Classic autos and trucks are displayed on the lower deck.
Passengers rode on the upper deck.

Edgefield was built in 1911 as the county poor farm on a 74-acre parcel of farmland. It is now a resort - the stately main building was restored with over 100 guestrooms furnished in turn-of-the-century decor.

Timberline Lodge, a National Historic Landmark, is a mountain lodge on the south side of Mount Hood at an elevation of 5,960 feet within the Mount Hood National Forest. Constructed from 1936 to 1938 by the WPA, it was built and furnished by local artisans during the Great Depression. The Lodge was dedicated September 28, 1937 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
